Phil Doran

Phil Doran is a musician, singer, songwriter and record producer, most closely associated with the progressive rock genre. Born and raised on the west coast of Cumbria, he relocated to Liverpool in 2010 where he took on the role of lead guitar for various artists touring the UK/Europe and then went on to work as a session guitarist.

Currently a solo artist, He is about to release his debut album ‘Into The Unknown’ which has notably been recognised by progressive rock legends Nick Beggs (Steven Wilson), Francis Dunnery (It Bites), Mick Pointer (Marillion), Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon) and Scott Higham (Ex- Pendragon).

He is set to take ‘Into The Unknown’ out on the road in 2021 (live show dates are to be announced later in the year).

He has recently performed at Liverpool’s M&S Arena and the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall in front of sell out audiences and has had a residency at Liverpool’s famous Cavern Club (Home of The Beatles) for the last 10 years where he performs weekly with one of Liverpool’s leading cover bands Madison (see gig listing). In 2018 he became the lead Guitarist/Backing vocalist for critically acclaimed ELO tribute ‘The ELO show’ and is due to tour Russia with them in March 2021. He is now set to release his debut solo album ‘Into The Unknown’ in Summer/Autumn of 2020.
